Christina Lake............

Yes it is nearly over...we took an extended camping trip to Christina Lake at hte end of August. I'm still surprised that we actually took the time to go but i think i can safely say my hubby is hooked on family time away from home... (i must remember he reads this too!!) We were there for 1 week with Sid's and Ron's what a blast, biking swimming boating and just existing....we took our turns with cooking and what fun that was, cedar planked salmon,Jamacia mistake chicken breast, pork loin, ahhh, the neighbours kept coming over to see what we had cooking this night!!! We took a 30 km bike ride from the top of the mountain near Eholt, it was 4% grade down, K. actually managed 15 km of it not without much coaxing but he did it, the highlight was to walk to Kool Treats in the eve. for icecream, so good for the waist line eh!! we encountered a huge bear near there 2 dif. nights, K, also spotted one on a bike ride him & D. took and also on the shore when they were in the boa...

Anniversary Trip with 4 kids!!!

Well here we are again, back from our little jaunt to Vancouver, enjoyed our $11.00 fare there and $45.00 back again. Still think its nuts West Jet promoted such a fare...but why do we care. We arrived Friday morning, left Calgary at 7:00 am and arrived there at 7:20. go figure!!Anyhow we drove awhile before we finally found a MacDonald's for breakfast. We darkened their doors twice, can you imagine with me along UGH!! oh well rather keep sane then eat quality foods. We drove to Stanley Park and idled the day away, went through the aquarium and walked some paths, went down to the water and napped in the car while the boys did their own thing...sound old? Checked into the Sheraton downtown...was s very pretty hotel esp. at nite the whole courtyard being lit with blue lights....we had talked to Tony Regher and weren't sure which day we might see them, but by 4:30 or so he called and said they were done work and ready to come meet us for supper, we met them down by the Granville I...

Endless Summer

We just arrived back from an insanely awesome camping trip, it started out as my boys inviting some friends to come and we'd go down to the river, that is about 40 mins . from here the Red Deer River by the Morrin bridge. In the end two other couples joined us and 4 extra boys so we were the total head count of 22 the first nite . For Breakfast we enjoyed a huge disco of hashbrowns , with peppers onions eggs cheese and bacon wrapped in a tortilla ...the day started at 5:30 when i awoke to these "chroming" around sounds under my head in the depth of the camper and voice of pre teen and some lower teen boys, finding the fishing rods i found out later...i heard one say its hours till breakfast, we'd told them 9:30. They did eat...they'd been biking besides, noticed at one point a jump built in the middle of the road and all 4 wheeled traffic having to bypass in the ditch!! Th rest of the day was spent floating down about 2 miles on any imaginable device that floa...

How do i keep my sanity?

There are days i wonder how i'll get through and then there are the days i wonder how i got through them...make sense? If you are a mother of 4 boyz ranging from four to fifteen, beings the middle ones are 8 and 12, i think you might have just the smallest inkling of what i mean...nobody gets along and yet they can't get along without one another. We have our space issues and it even some days goes as far as arguing over the air we share. i hope anyone reading this don't think me unhappy with my lot in life....with the last one and only that one did i gain knowledge on the gender of the life inside me... i recall seeing the screen myself and asking the tech. if i could cry now, yeah she says i think you better, no tears ever fell...it was one of the loneliest moments of my life(my husband the ever dollar driven man that he is was of course at home working) my girlfriend sitting in the waiting room...it was then that i realized there would never be anyone quite like me,...
